Your kit includes:

• PDF pattern and instructional guide for downloading or printing

•  High Quality 7" beechwood embroidery hoop with brass closure

• Cotton canvas fabric with pre-printed design already fitted securely in the hoop

• Full skeins of coordinating DMC embroidery floss

• 2 embroidery needles (size 5)

The only supply that isn't provided in the kit is scissors. Small, sharp embroidery scissors work best.

This pattern is inspired by color wheels. I spend an extensive amount of time in the embroidery aisles of craft stores, playing around with embroidery floss color combinations. I usually come in with a general idea of a color palette I want to use on any given project, but allow for curiosity and play when I see the colors in person. I love the subtle difference in shades, for instance a gray that has green undertones vs one that has brown undertones and how these different shades affect the overall look and feel of a design. Color is a big inspiration for me and this pattern highlights that.

This pattern uses one stitch, the chain stitch, so by the end of this project you are going to be a chain stitch expert! This pattern is appropriate for beginners and beyond, although it really is user dependent. It might be a good idea to practice the chain stitches on a different piece of fabric before you dive into this project.
